Clinical Hypnotherapist
Sue Austen is a qualified HypnoBirthing® Practitioner
with the HypnoBirthing® Instititute of America, and
trained as a Clinical Hypnotherapist with the New Zealand
School of Clinical Hypnosis.
Sue run a successful HypnoBirthing practise in West London,
where she taught hundreds of couples techniques to enjoy
easier, more comfortable birth experiences. She also taught
classes for NHS midwives, teaching how to use hypnosis to
support birthing women.
Her classes have regularly been featured in the media.
Most recently, a short documentary screened on the UK's
Channel Four, focusing on the story of a couple Sue taught
HypnoBirthing techniques to, who enjoyed a comfortable,
drug-free birth.
Sue has recently returned to New Zealand. Her teaching
style is lively and entertaining, and she is passionate
about HypnoBirthing® techniques, and helping mothers
achieve a natural, fear-free and drug-free birthing experience.

maternity leave, and Helen Bartrom is now teaching her classes.
