Sue Austen is a qualified HypnoBirthing® Practitioner with the HypnoBirthing® Instititute of America, and trained as a Clinical Hypnotherapist with the New Zealand School of Clinical Hypnosis.

Sue run a successful HypnoBirthing practise in West London, where she taught hundreds of couples techniques to enjoy easier, more comfortable birth experiences. She also taught classes for NHS midwives, teaching how to use hypnosis to support birthing women.

Her classes have regularly been featured in the media. Most recently, a short documentary screened on the UK's Channel Four, focusing on the story of a couple Sue taught HypnoBirthing techniques to, who enjoyed a comfortable, drug-free birth.

Sue has recently returned to New Zealand. Her teaching style is lively and entertaining, and she is passionate about HypnoBirthing® techniques, and helping mothers achieve a natural, fear-free and drug-free birthing experience.

Helen Bartrom, is a qualified, certified HypnoBirthing® Practitioner, trained by the HypnoBirthing® Institute. She experienced HypnoBirthing® first hand when giving birth to her son in 2005. He was a large 9 pound 11 oz (4.4kg) and she believes that the HypnoBirthing tools she learnt during her pregnancy greatly contributed to her ability to give birth easily and naturally without the use of any drugs.

Her midwife, Brigid Beehan says: "As a midwife this was an amazing experience to see a woman totally removed from pain throughout the end stages of labour. There was no difference in her face during strong contractions - she was so calm that it looked like she'd had an epidural."

Not only were these techniques useful in her labour and birth, Helen has found that the skills she learnt can be used for a number of situations in life. She continues to use these self-hypnosis techniques and has become a certified HypnoBirthing practitioner in order to teach the program to other parents-to-be.

Helen has inspired dozens of parents-to-be with the HypnoBirthing method and enjoys making a positive difference to such an important life event.
